Applicants most likely to be matched with a WCSR meet one or more of the following criteria:

1. Have experience, if applying for a Schipperke or similar, with Schipperke or other high-energy mischievous breeds.

2. Have secure fencing or a solid plan for managing a dog without one. 

3. Willingness to seek professional training as needed. 

4. Reside within our main service area: CA, OR, WA, ID, NV (other areas within the contiguous US are considered on a case-by-case basis).

If you do not meet the above criteria, be prepared explain how you will manage and mitigate potential risks of dog ownership.
